Ashford Maintenance Kit

I was shopping just for oil for my spinning wheel and that was out of stock when I looked, so I bought this little kit. Seemed handy as my spinning wheel is pre owned and quite old. What a fortuitous purchase! The oil is great of course, just what I needed but I’ve also already replaced my nylon brake band which snapped unexpectedly, probably because it is quite old and brittle, and the spring. I’m very happy to have the replacement drive band, leather rod joint and lots of hooks on hand for when I will need them. As I get to know my spinning wheel, I realise that ongoing maintenance and upkeep is key to keeping it running smoothly. This kit is compact, comprehensive and great value for money. I am reassured to have it readily available. Shipping was fast and easy and the final cherry on top was the lovely wool batting my order was wrapped in for padding - I have already spun it all up during my practice!
