I have had a traditional wheel in the past..but I needed a more portable wheel...the Kiwi 3 did not dissapoint...Lovely wheel...I put it together myself no problems at all..now I have it set up its a great little wheel ... I will be using this wheel much more than I did my bigger one...It spins like a giant but so easy to transport.
I learnt to spin on an Ashford Joy and had originally ordered the Joy as I was comfortable using one. With the delay in shipping from New Zealand I changed to the Kiwi. After the first day becoming familiar with the difference between the Joy and the Kiwi I soon decided there are many advantages to having the Kiwi. One of the main advantages is the clip in bobbin which means there is never a possibility of it becoming loose during spinning. Access to the drive belt is also easier. I would recommend the Kiwi to anyone for enjoyable spinning.

what can I say, my new Ashford kiwi is outstanding and so easy to use and a pleasure spinning with it. its well made and easy to assemble and after using antique spinning wheels with its little creeks and squeaks my Ashford is so quite. Just another amazing product purchased from Wingham Wool. Because i live quite close to them i called them up made my payment and went and collected it within the hour as it was opening time when i ordered it. the ladies who delt with me enjoyed a little chat. Thank you again for your wonderful services and i am sure i will be seeing you soon as i need some merino to spin as someone wants me to make them a ganzyie and nothing better than spinning and dying the wool myself.
