Christmas Delivery 2020
Orders placed after 23rd December will be dispatched when we re-open on 4th Jan.
In the run up to Christmas we've worked hard to ensure that orders have left us swiftly, in most cases being dispatched within 48 hours.
Unfortunately the current global situation has meant that Royal Mail have seen a massive increase in their workload, meaning that some Wingham deliveries have been delayed. If you're expecting a parcel which hasn't arrived then please accept our apologies and read through the information below to see what to do next.
"How was my parcel sent?"
Deliveries under 2kg to UK addresses are sent Royal Mail 48 service. Deliveries over 2kg are sent via ParcelForce. ParcelForce have not reported any issues and we're seeing delivery times as normal.
"When should my parcel arrive?"
When your order leaves us you would have been sent an email letting you know that it's on it's way. Under normal circumstances you should then expect delivery up to 2 working days later (Example: An order dispatched on Thursday would be expected to arrive on the following Monday). However, Royal Mail are currently not guaranteeing any shipping times and so you should allow up to 10 working days AFTER the expected delivery date. Royal Mail only consider an item to be "lost" after this period has elapsed.
Example: An order is placed on the 13th Dec. It's dispatched from us on the 15th Dec. In this case the delivery would not be considered lost until the 5th January (10 working days after 17th Dec) . While this seems a long time it takes into account the Bank Holidays over Christmas and the New Year.
"My parcel hasn't arrived. What should I do?"
While some parcels have been delayed the majority have arrived before the 10 working days have elapsed. We appreciate this isn't ideal for Christmas deliveries, but we can only work to the time-frame that Royal Mail have set out. In this case please be prepared to wait a little longer, and hopefully your order should arrive.
"My order has taken more than the 10 working days after expected delivery date. What should I do now?"
In this case then we will provide a full refund. We may also offer a replacement if possible, though this would depend on stock levels. Please email the office on email@example.com Include your order details and we'll get back to you when we re-open on the 4th January.
"My order took too long to arrive, can I return it?"
You have the right to return any Wingham order in accordance with our standard policy. Please visit our Terms and Conditions for further information. Please be aware that Wingham is closed from 23rd Dec to 4th Jan, so any claims will be dealt with when we re-open.
