Dyed Merino Tops
Easy Felting wool. Our wool is selected for ease of felting. The fine quality enables felting to take place quickly. All wools will felt but the finer the quality the faster it felts saving time and effort

Our entire Dyed Merino range is produced from 21 micron Merino 70s. We find this creates the perfect balance between softness and price, giving a wonderful feel to finished items. Not only do you get great quality but the entire range is based upon our own standard dye recipes, so you know the shade you buy today will still be around when you need to re-stock.

We can also guarantee that our Merino is sourced from non-mulesed flocks, have a look at Wikipedia for information on mulesing to see why we avoid this wool.
It conforms to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Product Class 1. Basically this International Standard means our fibres our non toxic, colour fast and are baby-safe, which is always good to know! Not all dyed merino in the UK meets these high standards. Great for use in design technology textile courses.

For Felting and Handspinning
Our 125 colourfast shades of dyed merino are perfect for many fibre crafts, including both spinning and felting. We have upgraded the quality from 64's to a finer quality 70's.This number refers to the traditional Bradford Count, a popular method for stating quality throughout the world of textiles. This equates to a fibre diameter of 21 microns.

Shade sets for colour matching and selection, a free service

Because computer and print reproductions of colours are not accurate we offer to send out a set of all the 125 dyed merino range for you to inspect. This set can either be taken on loan for two weeks or purchased. We strongly recommend that you use this service if you require accurate colour matches. Details below on how to order the set.

If you would like any other mix please contact us as any colour combinations in weights of 250gms or more are possible.
