The term "Vegetable" may be confusing, however many common fibres are derived from plant materials, such as cotton. The fibres on this page are suitable for a variety of crafts and may be incorporated into feltmaking, though will not felt on their own.
We also have a range of biopolymers which are a range of modern fibres synthesised from natural materials. Many odinary polymers are produced from petrochemicals; these biopolymers are from non-polluting sources. It can be taken that they are less of an environmental problem but not totally natural. Wikipedia is a good source of information on the Bio polymers
