Wool

All our wool  tops are produced from unbleached scoured wools. The wool scouring is subject to  environmental controls which ensure that no toxic substances are used or that any environmental harm takes place. The dyes are all non toxic and no harmful substances are used in the process. 
Dyes are manufactured by many companies using different names. If you require further information about dyes (not dyed products) have a look at the HSE web site this gives the details on handling the dyestuffs not the finished dyed fibre.
 Questions on toxicity has been asked many times of late. Like all finished textiles the end result is not toxic. Care should be taken with small children to avoid them eating the fibres, the only probable hazard. 

We have recnetly confirmed that all of our dyed Merino is sourced from flocks in which mulesing does not take place.

Business

We try to buy in as little packaging as possible. This reduces our environmental impact and means costs are not passed onto the consumer. Because of this your goods may be sent in re-used packaging - Its always fun trying to guess what was in them originally!

We try to keep all paperwork to a minimum in the office , though this is proving to be hard. Certain files and documents simplu have to be shredded in order to keep details confidential. You'll be pleased to know that once cut into tiny little pieces your details may end up as bedding for a chickens, or perhaps added to our compost heaps!
