The Working Day
These times are used for all courses of one, two or three days.
- Start time 9.00 am for 9.30 work to start
- Morning Coffee 11.00am
- Lunch Break 12.30 to 1.30 cafe on site, sandwich shop and pubs very close.
- Afternoon Tea 3.00pm
- Tea, coffee, drinks and biscuits are on hand all day
- Finish work 4.30pm
Day 1 Shape and Colour in Felt based on Traditional Shibori Techniques
Using Landscape dyes applied to wool after felting. Good fun and easy to do. Felt to be produced from merino tops or needle punch or batts.
Landscape dyes are a range of 60 shades which we can be mixed. Ready to use powder dyes that require no further additions. Easily applied and fixed by microwave heat. We will provide the full range of colours as well as the merino wools used.
This day would be suitable for beginners as the emphasis for them could be more on the making of the basic felt.
Day 2 Felt to Stitch
Mosaic techniques using coloured merino fibres to include some stitch in the felt or low relief designs in felt with stitch.
All the fibres required will be provided.
Day 3 Felt Embellished
Combine dry and wet techniques in felt. Explore the possibilities of the needle punch machine in creating innovative textiles. Some of the work could be done on needle punch pre felt and other fibres incorporated in the felt.
We will have a large selection of fibres and materials to select from. In addition the hall is adjacent to our warehouse where we have several tons of fibres so plenty of scope for creativity.

Booking Conditions
1 The deposit is required at the time of booking and is non-returnable except for condition 2. The balance is required before August 1st 2008 and after this date is non-returnable except for condition 3. Failure to pay the balance by August 1st 2008 will cause us to re-allocate the place(s) if possible.
2 In the event of cancellation or failure to pay the outstanding balance when only the deposit has been paid;
If we are able to re-allocate the place(s) £45 will be returned per person.
3 If cancellation takes place after August 1st 2008;
If we can re-allocate the place(s) all monies will be returned less £10 per person
4 We do not offer any cancellation insurance for unforeseen circumstances. We suggest that if you wish you contact an Insurer to arrange cover.
